Frederick “Fred” Furth serves as Of Counsel at Zelle Hofmann. He has practiced in the area of antitrust litigation for more than 48 years and is a nationally recognized leader in the antitrust bar.
Prior to joining Zelle Hofmann, Fred practiced with The Furth Firm LLP which he founded in 1966. He has also served as counsel for the Kellogg Company and as an associate at Cahill, Gordon, Reindel & Ohl in New York.
Fred has served as lead counsel for numerous national multi-district litigation antitrust class actions. He was profiled in a July 17, 2000, article in Times Magazine, titled “Are Lawyers Running America?”
Fred received his B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of Michigan and his LL.B from the University of Michigan Law School. After receiving his law degree, Fred traveled to Europe and studied comparative law at the University of Berlin and the University of Munich. His passions include wine, aviation, community service and litigation.
